What is a tool presetter ?

As its name suggests, a tool presetter is a machine that allows cutting tools to be set prior to a machining operation.

It allows to :

• Check

• Measure

• Adjust

This manual operation is carried out by the operator before the machining operation to determine the dimensions of the cutting tools.

It enables on the cutting tools to be checked  :

• The diameters 
• The heights
• Radius

These tools will be mounted on conventional and numerically controlled machine tools. They can be used to machine materials such as wood, metal, composites, etc.

The tool presetter therefore allow us to optimise precision when machining and to optimise pre-machining preparation time.
